We have known for a few days: For Josh Reese, the Foo Fighters’ drums are the end of the drums. The musician announced his replacement at the end of last week and clarified that the band had decided to take a new direction.
It looks like Freese from Dave Grohl and Co. not even received a reason for the end at the Foo Fighters. The drummer could therefore not hide his disappointment, and other musicians didn’t really understand it. On the other hand, he already felt gratitude – and maybe therefore reacted with a funny list 10 (possible) reasons for the end.
This list appeared on Monday (May 19) Instagram. There are sillyness such as “could only call one song by Fugazi” and “didn’t even try to grow a beard”.

After all, he also seems to have found a “technical” reason for his resignation: so unknown Freese in the list that his “metronomic precision behind the drums was perceived as ‘soulless'”. According to the 52-year-old jokingly, his handling of “polyrhythms” can also have false.
The gag ranking was not without reaction. On the threshold that he promised Noodles from The Offspring to become a fourth guitarist at the Foo Fighters, he reacted in a comment: “But you promised it!”
As a mocking main reason for the end at the Foo Fighters, Josh Freese then stood out that the pawn had somehow got out of hand. As is known, the drummer is considered a great poodle fanatic. Everyone has their hobby.
Freese will replace the late Taylor Hawkins for almost two years from May 2023. The Foo Fighters have not yet given their own statement on their decision to release Freese, and have not yet announced a replacement for him.
At the latest by October 4th, however, there must be clarity, then the band appears at the Formula 1 Grand Prix from Singapore. So far it is the only concert that the Foo Fighters announced for 2025.
