After the second defeat against FC Bayern Munich, the syntainics MBC is in front of the playoff-out. A strong initial phase is not enough to counter Munich’s quality.
The Syntainics MBC basketball players have lost their first playoff home game for 24 years. The Weißenfelser lost to FC Bayern Munich with 65:80 (32:38) and are thus in the best-of-five series after two games with their backs to the wall. Another defeat next Saturday (May 24th, 4:30 p.m.) would mean the end of the season for the “wolves”. Despite the defeat, Michael Devoe convinced with a strong performance: the American scored 17 points, collected six rebounds and gave four assists. On the side of Bavaria, the two world champions Andreas Obst and Johannes Voigtmann, each with 15 points, were the top scorers.
Again the game tilts in the second quarter
Under the eyes of national coach Alejandro “Alex” Mumbrú, the MBC started the game. In the first quarter, the hosts presented themselves with the title candidate at eye level and went into the first break with a narrow 19:16 lead.

From then on, Munich acted confidently and hardly left the hosts to develop. In the end, Bayern routinely managed the Bavarians, while the Weißenfelsern no longer succeeded.
