On Monday, the municipality of Eindhoven had too few security guards during the ceremony of PSV to be able to check for fireworks. That admits a spokesperson for questions from Omroep Brabant. Witnesses saw how large groups of supporters were left on Stadhuisplein via the side entrance. Some of them had bags full of fireworks.
“The extent to which fireworks were taken on Sundays and Monday on Sundays and Monday is all the limits,” said the spokesperson.
The supporters who were previously allowed to go on the square belonged to the ‘atmosphere groups’ who were also allowed to take drums and flags with him, he says. “The agreement was that they would be checked. Unfortunately, the capacity of the security was too small to check this large group.”
The spokesperson predicts that heavy fireworks ‘will undoubtedly be an important theme’ in the evaluation.
Burn
The first aid has treated 37 people with light burns, mainly small blisters or splash fireworks on the hand. There were no children among these people. Nobody had to go to the hospital.

Heavy illegal fireworks were set off during the ceremony on Monday. The square was dressed in a red haze through the countless burning torches and smoke pots. Many attendees were worried about their safety.
Dangerous
“Dangerous,” Ron de Koster, chairman of the Association of Event Fire Netherlands, responded Monday. “You have to stay as far away as possible, but that doesn’t work in a crowd.” Especially the torches that burn brightly pose a high risk. They are intended for shipping to use in an emergency. “Those things are called 1500 degrees.”
