Pavel Kaderabek and TSG Hoffenheim go separate paths after ten years. The expiring contract of the 33-year-old is not extended. The right-back, who is one of the faithful Bundesliga players, completed 287 games (19 goals) for the Kraichgauer, and only three players wore the TSG jersey more often. The Hoffenheimers had already adopted a quartet around Diadié Samassékou (29) on Tuesday.

“Pavel is an extraordinary personality and we all know about his great merits for TSG Hoffenheim. He shaped an era in Hoffenheim, who puts TSG off his stamp and developed a legend status at the Hoffenheim fans thanks to his open and warm character,” said sports director Andreas Schicker. “This is not a matter of course and shows what importance Pavel has here in the club and the entire Kraichgau. That is why one thing is already certain and is already certain: The door at TSG will always be open to Pavel and we would all be very happy to welcome him to another role here in Hoffenheim after his active career.” A duly farewell will be made up for in the coming season.

Kaderabek added: “After an unbelievable ten years, my journey here at the TSG is now coming to an end – and that is really incredibly emotionally for me. I really would have loved to continue playing for Hoffenheim, but unfortunately the club is planning differently in my position. I have enjoyed the time incredibly here and this club will remain in my heart. The home games, the fans, I will never forget that.) This region and its people gave me and my family so much, everyone was always very friendly to us, we felt extremely comfortable here and have even become at home in the past ten years.
