Izegem started the game strongly and quickly led 3-0. After a moderate start of the game, Tournai fought back to a 15-16 lead. But a red card for the visitors caused a tilt in the party. Izegem, with a man more on the field, took matters again and soon ended up to 27-22. In the final quarter, the victory was no longer in danger, final score 34-25.
The pressure on houting remains intact. Izegem must remain flawless to make a shot on 31 May at a return to the highest level.
