‘Buy now, pay later’: the temptation is great, but almost 1 in 3 young users receive a collection agency

Order a smartphone or a holiday without paying immediately? More and more Belgians are using ‘order now, pay later’ services. But there is also a danger: one in three young people who used such a system already came into contact with a collection agency. Minister of Consumer Protection Rob Beenders (Vooruit) will therefore impose rules. “It cannot be the intention that these systems put our young people in debt.”
