Local residents respond relieved that the case is being clarified. “It is better now that everything is clarified. We have had many sleepless nights,” says local resident Ariane Dekens. “My 97 year old mum was scared, my grandchild did not come by anymore.”
Yet the matter remains sensitive. Ariane feels personally touched because the suspect is a neighbor who helped her family in difficult times. “I am very disappointed,” says Ariane. She is not a civil party, but others are considering that.
