Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively: A legal dispute that never seems to end
The background: Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni worked together on the book adaptation “It Ends With Us”, which came to cinemas in 2024. Blake Lively played the female leading role, Baldoni the male – he also directed. After a much criticized press tour – especially with regard to LIVELY – rumors have already circulated that the two had no good relationship with each other.
In December 2024, Blake Lively filed a lawsuit for sexual harassment against Justin Baldoni and producer Jamey Heath. The lawsuit states that the behavior on the set has created an enemy work environment and massively damaged Lively’s reputation.
Baldoni rejected all allegations and reacted with a counterclaim. Now Baldoni’s side is trying to bring Taylor Swift into play as a witness – she is supposed to have put him under pressure to agree with certain changes to the screenplay of the film. Swift’s lawyer team vehemently fought against it and described the project as “abuse of the evidence procedure”.
