The Netherlands is increasingly raising thresholds for launch new medicines: ‘Too much focus on the costs’

For the pharmaceutical industry, it is becoming increasingly unattractive to market new medicines in the Netherlands, several pharmaceuticals announce. The rules for admission of medicines to the insured package are becoming stricter, so not only the pharmaceutical, but also patients have to wait a long time. The Healthcare Institute wants to improve that.
