A realization also: With an Xavi Simons, there is obviously missing a lot to the top of the world. In the course of the season he was already traded at Bayern and other top clubs, most recently he was hardly visible. Of course he is a huge talent. But for me Xavi is such a candidate where the career could take a steep course up – but vice versa. According to reports, he is now said to have decided to leave Leipzig in summer. As big as he may have seen himself, he is far from being. Because you are good if you perform your performance for a whole season. You are very good when you can do it for years. And you are world class when you play a decade or longer at top level. He has to reach this level first. Until then, a question mark remains behind him and his future.
Meanwhile, the future of Bayer Leverkusen’s superstar Florian Wirtz is still unclear. After he seemed on his way to Bayern, Manchester City is now also in the race for the international, and Real Madrid is also a potential goal. I say: a move to city or to the “royal” would be even more beneficial for his career. Because both clubs now have a disappointing season for their standards and want to fully attack again in the coming year, especially in the Champions League – presumably with many expensive reinforcements. And that is the one title that Wirtz is still missing. He has already won everything in Germany.
However, I think it’s a shame that the Wirtz side still did not get an official statement in which direction it could go. So all sides – clubs, fans, public – remain unclear. This is tiring and the situation is not appropriate.
If Wirtz, who is supposed to have tended towards Bayern, actually suddenly thinks again, it would also be a very bad sign. Because that would make it clear that he himself doesn’t really know what he actually wants. So the question remains open: where does he actually want to go? This unworthy around the rums does not help anyone, especially not himself. He should finally decide and communicate it openly – it is one of his own best.
