PSV has received a new championship in its own hands. PSV was far too strong on Wednesday evening for Heracles Almelo and won 4-1. Ajax played a draw against FC Groningen, in injury time it became 2-2. PSV is now first in the Eredivisie and has to visit Sparta on Sunday and win itself to be sure of the title. The competitor’s draw was celebrated in Eindhoven. The stadium had stayed for minutes because it took much longer in Groningen.
PSV showed from the first minute that it only wanted one thing: win with as beautiful football as possible. Heracles Almelo lasted eighteen minutes, but then the people of Eindhoven walked over the guests. With main roles for Malik Tillman and Ismael Saibari.
Both midfielders scored twice, the last of which was a beautiful long shot in the upper corner. With the 4-0 halftime, Heracles Almelo was not even allowed to grumble, because this PSV was supreme in everything.
Trainer Peter Bosz applied two points in peace. He gave Sergino Dest and Ivan Perisic Rust and brought Tyrell Malacia and Johan Bakayoko. PSV remained the boss in the field and it was waiting for the 5-0. The cheers in the Philips Stadium did not come because of a goal from the home team, but because of the goal of FC Groningen against Ajax. Due to the 1-1, PSV took the lead in the Eredivisie.
