Cassie Ventura is one of the main witnesses in the trial against the fallen rap mogul Sean “P. Diddy” Combs. We take a look at who Ventura actually is – and what role it plays in the process.
Cassie Ventura: Model and singer
Ventura was born on August 26, 1986 in New London in the US state of Connecticut. Her mother is African American, West Indian and Mexican descent, her father comes from the Philippines. First she worked as a model before the producer Ryan Leslie became aware of her. It was also Leslie who produced Ventura’s song “Me & U”-a R&B hit that climbed to third place on the US charts. The title was published on Bad Boy Records, the label of Sean Combs.
Ventura and Combs soon connected more than just a business relationship. For ten years, from 2008 to 2018, the two were a couple. At first it looked like a glamorous celebrity relationship-but what comes up in court today draws a completely different picture.
Cassie Ventura: Relationship with Sean Combs
According to her statement, the relationship was characterized by control, violence and psychological manipulation. Ventura reports that Combs had physically abused, intimidated and made it dependent. Their allegations of multiple rape weigh particularly hard. She describes that Combs kept forcing her for sexual acts-among other things in the context of so-called “freak-offs”: sex parties where she had to satisfy foreign men under the influence of drugs, while Combs watched and filmed everything.

A particularly stressful evidence became public in May 2024: surveillance videos from 2016 made the round that showed how Combs Ventura brutally attacks in a hotel. Combs kicks Ventura, pushes her to the ground and pulls her through the hallway. In a statement on Instagram Shortly afterwards, Ventura wrote: “The wave of support for my younger I created a place where it can feel safe – but that’s just the beginning.” She emphasized: “Domestic violence is the topic. She made me someone who I never wanted to be. I feel better with a lot of work today – but I will work on my past all my life.”
After the end of the relationship with Combs, Ventura found her luck privately. In 2019 she married the fitness trainer and health coach Alex Fine. The two have largely withdrawn two daughters together. Ventura occasionally gives an insight into her life on social media. Now it is once again in public – but in the courtroom.
