Amber Heard announced on Mother’s Day that she is now also the mother of twins. In a post on Instagram, she shared the news. The 39-year-old actress, who had welcomed her daughter Oonagh in 2021, described the trip to motherhood as partly “humbling”, but also as “unforgettable”.
In her post, Heard showed a picture of the feet of her twins and wrote: “Mother’s Day 2025 will be one that I will never forget.” She added: “This year I am overjoyed to celebrate the completion of the family that I tried to build for years. Today I officially share the news that I have included twins in the Heard family. My daughter Agnes and my son Ocean hold my hands (and my heart) full.”
“My dream family and I celebrate with you”
In her contribution, the “Aquaman” actress also looked back on the birth of her first daughter, Oonagh. She remembered how her life had changed forever four years ago. “When I got my first daughter Oonagh, I thought I couldn’t burst with joy. Well, now I’m bursting three times !!!”, said Heard.
To become a mother, alone and on her own conditions, despite her fertility disorders, was the “Most Humbling” experience of her life. In her post, she addressed a warm message to all mothers worldwide: “I am infinitely grateful that I was able to make this decision responsibly and well thought out. To all mothers, wherever you are today and how you come here too, my dream family and I celebrate with you.”
Growing support on social media
Heart’s words have inspired many of their followers on social media. A fan commented on X (formerly Twitter): “Great news – Amber deserves all the luck in the world!” Your openness and positive attitude have been very popular with your fans.
Since the trial with Johnny Depp, Amber Heard has lived in the vicinity of Madrid and has largely kept her private life out of the public.
Heard’s wish for motherhood
In the past, Heard had already talked about her wish to become a mother. When she announced the birth of her daughter, she explained that it was particularly important to her to get a child “according to her own ideas”. She emphasized how radical it was for women to design such a fundamental part of their fate themselves and to live in their own way. “I hope we come to a point where it is normalized not to need any engagement rings to have a baby bed,” she said in an Instagram post at the time.
