The death of Nadja Abd El Farrag – better known as Naddel – shocked the public. The former partner of Dieter Bohlen died on May 9 at the age of only 60 years of organ failure. While in recent years she was headlining, especially with health and private problems, only a few remember the beginning of her career – which was once promising.

Nadja Abd El Farrag was born on March 5, 1965 in Hamburg. In her youth, she initially started an apprenticeship as a pharmacy helper. The introduction to the music business was achieved at the end of the 1980s when she became a background singer in Dieter Bohlen’s band Blue System. Soon afterwards she received a relationship with the producer – a partnership that always attracted media attention.

In 1999 she entered the footsteps of Bohlen-Ex Verona Pooth and moderated the erotic show “Peep”. Naddel also tried different projects away from the camera: she published a cookbook, turned belly dance videos and was regularly a guest in reality TV formats such as the jungle camp or “Big Brother”. Her short liaison with Ralph Siegel also made headlines. Nadja Abd el Farrag also earned money as a testimonial of the erotic fair Venus, as DJane and with celebrity boxes.

Nadja Abd el Farrag: Private not always everything went smoothly

Nadja Abd El Farrag is remembered by many as shimmering but also a tragic figure of the German tabloid – a woman whose career began at the side of a pop star and whose life knew many ups and downs. In 2013, her autobiography entitled “Unl lucked”, in which she spoke openly about her past. In it she wrote: “I was never a party person. I just let myself go.” Her life was shaped by uncertainty: “I made many decisions from my gut – often not the best.”

In recent years it has become calmer about Naddel. In 2023 she tried a musical comeback with the entertainer Andreas Ellermann. Her last public appearance took place in May 2024.
