The majority wants ‘retirement home’ back, but: “You don’t think the elderly want to go there?”

Almost two in three Dutch people want the nursing home back. Because many elderly people are now lonely or cannot manage at home. But according to experts it is largely ‘false romance’. The ‘retirement home’ was not that nice. “There was also a lot of loneliness there, people who no longer received a visit.”
