Actually, Dynamo Dresden would have had only reason to celebrate at the penultimate season at Waldhof Mannheim. But then the last minutes of play come.
Threatening scenes in Mannheim. The game between the host Waldhof Mannheim and Dynamo Dresden had to be interrupted for ten minutes for ten minutes at the end of 1-0 and four minutes before the end.
Hoofed fans of both teams had made their way towards the field and set up behind the gates. The police and folders had to intervene. It was initially completely unclear whether the game would have to be canceled.
In the end, referee continued the game after ten minutes. After the final whistle, however, fans of both teams stormed the field again. Some of the players had to flee to the cabin. The Dynmo fans wanted to climb the 2nd league, which the Mannheimers saw as a provocation and also overrun the stadium gates. Mounted police had to intervene to support.
The fans of both teams could be separated with great effort. Dresden has risen despite the 0-1 defeat, for Mannheim there were three important points in the relegation battle.
