An experienced Czech goalkeeper will confirm the club next season.

IFK in Helsinki announced on Friday that it had signed a 1+1-year contract with Czech goalkeeper Jakub Škarek with.

25-year-old Škarek has played the previous six seasons in the NHL club’s New York Islanders organization.

Most of the time the goalkeeper played the club’s AHL team in Bridgeport Islanders. There were two NHL matches in six seasons, both of which came in the past season.
