Football coach sees Pope confusingly similar

The new Pope is chosen. Curious: He looks damn similar to an Italian coaching legend.
The fact that the new Pope Leo XIV is also a fan of the AS Rome makes the story even more crazy. Because, among other things, the new head of the Roman Catholic Church has been compared to an Italian coaching legend on Thursday evening. Their name: Claudio Ranieri. His club: the AS Rome. And in fact both look confusingly similar. In the following photo you can form a judgment.
And also when it comes to age, both are very close. Pope Leo XIV is 69 years old, Ranieri 73. The football instructor has already trained many clubs in Europe – and has already done a (football) miracle when he became Leicester City 2016 with the then English mid -range club. With this he sat down with a personal monument to the “Foxes” and their followers.
The fans also worship him at AS Rome. In keeping with this, a huge poster appeared in the streets of Rome on Wednesday at the start of the conclaves, which Ranieri showed as a Pope. To read on it: “Habemus Papam”, which translates: “We have a Pope.”
Ranieri took over the Roma for the third time in November last year, stabilized it in a difficult sporting situation and can now even create the qualification for the Champions League. Accordingly, there can only be one for the fans of the Italian capital club on the sidelines: Claudio Ranieri – just like the Pope on the Holy Stool.
