Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger urges Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war against Ukraine.
– You started this war. You are leading this war. You can end this war, he says.
The Star of Terminator has released a nine-minute video on several of his Finnish channels, in which he also communicates directly to Russian soldiers. The video is subtitled in both English and Russian.
– I love Russian people. That’s why I want to tell you the truth, he’s written in the context of his video.
Schwarzenegger says he will broadcast the video through several different channels to reach his Russian friends and the Russian soldiers fighting in Ukraine.
– I am talking to you today because there are things going on in the world that are being blacked out by you. Horrible things you should know, he says.
At the beginning of the video, Schwarzenegger goes through his long history with Russia and the Russians. He always says he admired the strength and heart of the Russians.

The former governor of California makes it clear that the purpose of the video is to make Russian soldiers better understand the current circumstances.
– For Russian soldiers listening to this broadcast: you already know a lot about the truth I’m talking about. You’ve seen it with your own eyes, he says.
– This is not a war to defend Russia, where your grandfather and grandfather fought. This is an illegal war.
In the video, Schwarzenegger also praises those Russians who have demonstrated against the war in Russia.
– The world has seen your courage. We know that you have suffered the consequences of your bravery. You have been arrested and imprisoned. And you have been beaten, he says.
