German basketball player sets up record

Karsten Tadda has been playing in the basketball Bundesliga since the 2007/08 season. Now he has reached a special number – and could further expand his success.
Karsten Tadda is the sole record player of the basketball Bundesliga. The 36-year-old played his 639th game in the upper house at Ratiopharm Ulm’s guest performance at Ratiopharm Ulm and has thus completed an encounter more than the previous record holder Alex King.
In addition to Bamberg, Tadda also played in the Bundesliga for the Gießen 46ers, Ratiopharm Ulm, EWE Baskets Oldenburg and Telekom Baskets Bonn. With Bamberg, the Franke became German champion five times and won the trophy three times. With Bonn, Tadda won the title in the Champions League in 2023. In the national team, the shooting Guard was used a total of 89 times between 2012 and 2019.
After this season Tadda will end his career. On Sunday he could still be 640 in the Brose Arena against Rasta Vechta and played the last game in the Bundesliga last game.
