The French luxury goods group Kering has appointed new CEOs for its Brioni and Ginori brands in 1735.

Federico Arrigoni takes over the management of the Italian menswear specialist Brioni, while Mehdi Benabadji received the chief post from the porcelain provider Ginori in 1735, Kering said on Tuesday evening. Both appointments came into force on May 6th.

Arrigoni follows Benabadji at Brioni, who has managed the brand since 2020. The new Brioni boss comes from Saint Laurent, where he has been active as a deputy CEO since July 2023. He came to the French fashion house in 2015, which also belongs to Kering, and took over the HR line. Before that, he was already active in this area for brands such as Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana.

In 2020 he took on the role of the President for Asia-Pacific at Saint Laurent. A year later, he was also responsible for the Chief Commercial Officer until he took over his previous activity in 2023. Arrigoni began his career in 1996 at the French sporting goods Decathlon, where he has various retail positions with increasing responsibility.

As CEO of Brioni, Arrigoni is intended to further consolidate the global positioning of the house and increase its attractiveness and success. He reports to Francesca Bellettini, deputy CEO von Kering.

“I am convinced that his extensive knowledge of industry and its strong international experience have him the ideal candidate to lead Brioni into the next development phase and to build on the remarkable history and success of the house,” said Bellettini.

Brioni boss changes to Ginori 1735

Meanwhile, Arrigoni’s predecessor changes to Ginori in 1735, where he is supposed to drive the next expansion phase of the Florentine porcelain brand and further expand the position in the global luxury lifestyle and household room. He will report on Jean-Marc Duplaix, deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer from Kering.

“Ginori 1735 is a jewel Italian Savoir-Faires in the areas of porcelain, table culture and decoration, and I am pleased that Mehdi will bring his deep understanding of traditional craftsmanship and his extensive experience in international brand development,” said Duplaix. “I am sure that he will support Ginori in 1735 to reach the next level of his global growth.”
