In the basketball Bundesliga (BBL), Ratiopharm Ulm won the Baden-Württemberg duel at the Academics Heidelberg.

After three away defeats in series, the Ulm won the Ulm clearly with 90:74 (38:37) on Saturday evening (03.05.2025). In the table, they consolidated their second place, which they can no longer lose until the end of the main round.

BBL: Ulm puts pressure on Munich

Even more: Due to the success in Heidelberg, Ulm also puts pressure on leader Bayern Munich. In the remaining two main round games, even leap to one rank is possible.

The Academics meanwhile moved to ninth place and thus slipped out of the direct playoff ranks. At the latest through the play-in tournament of the seventh to tenth places, you can qualify for the BBL quarter-finals-and possibly meet Ulm again.

Heidelberg and Ulm deliver close match – for the time being

Saraf and Jallow tower over at Ulm

Top scorer on the side of the table was Point Guard Ben Saraf with 17 points. Small Forward Karim Jallow also shone with six defensive and three offensive rebounds.

The best thrower among the home side was Ryan Mikesell with 20 points. Just like Power Forward Bakary Dibba, he also came up with a total of seven rebounds.
