The VAM-Berg near Wijster is largely closed for cyclists this weekend. The highest ‘mountain’ in Drenthe is the scene of the mountain bike competition in the Torq 3 Nationscup this weekend.
This afternoon between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. the VAM-Berg is closed due to a course training. Tomorrow the mountain cannot be climbed all day because the mountain bikers’ course is about parts of the paved road.
Walkers and spectators can just go up the mountain. It is possible that a few hiking trails are not accessible. Traffic controllers will be at the parking spaces during the event to steer parking in the right direction.
