Adrián V., a 30-year-old Mexican who tried to strangle Fred van Rossem from Oss in the prison in Vught in February, was stuck for arson and because he had struck the contents of a house of a couple in Den Bosch short and small. That turned out on Friday in the court in Den Bosch.
Adrián V. turns out to be small and only the Spanish language powerful. Occasionally he lurked in the room during the session, but most of the time he looked out stoically. In Mexico he was a professional fire dancer, but when he had a child with a Dutch woman, he moved to Den Bosch with her.
He appears to have experienced quite a bit and occasionally there is no rope to tie his story. On February 6 it went completely wrong and he was arrested. And so he came into contact with the lawyer, Fred van Rossem from Oss.
Adrián V. was put out of his rental apartment in Den Bosch a week before that sixth February. Since his divorce from the Dutch woman with whom he has a son, he lived there. According to a local police officer, he caused a lot of nuisance there. He was able to pay his rent with the collection of deposit cans, but he didn’t have much left.
On 6 February, under the influence of cocaine and amphetamine, he went back to the complex on the Ketsheuvel, where mainly status holders, students and emergency seekers live. On images in the courtroom you can see how he set some mess and a mattress on fire against the facade.
HOUSE OF HOUTHOPPAS STEPER AND CLOTHED
When the flames were meters high, Adrián was gone for a long time. On the way to the center where his dog stayed with a couple. And he wanted it back. With a traffic pole he hit the windshield and made his way in, looking for his dog Aurora, which he wanted to take to Mexico. In the living room he destroyed a few thousand euros in things, but he was quickly arrested because the terrified residents had called the police.
And so Adrián V. ended up in the Pi Vught. His lawyer became Fred van Rossem and he visited him on February 17. Immediately upon entering V. Him hits him several times on his head and grabs his neck firmly. Van Rossem ultimately manages to press the emergency button and is relieved by a guard.
According to Adrián, Van Rossem was no longer his lawyer, because he did not do anything for him. V. also knew nothing about an appointment, he said. When the lawyer had made a wrong gesture upon arrival, he hit him, he admitted. But that was just a small blow and Van Wurgen was not there at all, said V.
‘Lick my shoes and suck my penis’
“He made a sign that in my culture” lick my shoes and sucking my penis, “V. explained to the judges. “I grabbed him around his body after the blows so that he would not kill me. The guards saved my life.”
The story of V. is therefore directly opposed to that of lawyer Fred van Rossem. He emphasized once again in the courtroom that he has out of death. He is under treatment and doubts whether he still wants to be a lawyer. Without that emergency button it would have ended very differently, his firm conviction.
“My apologies,” Adrián V. told the lawyer behind him, but it was not clear whether he meant it. Earlier he had already apologized for the vandalism with the couple that fitted his dog since his divorce. He also offered to pay the damage he had made in the ‘salvation of his dog’.
Lawyer Fred van Rossem told his story after the attack:
The public prosecutor paid the most attention to the arson at the residential complex and the burglary with the couple and the destruction. According to him, that fire with meter -high flames could have ended very differently. And he also took the burglary with terrified people in the house. He therefore demanded a four -year prison sentence for these two charges. He demanded a month in prison for the abuse of the lawyer.
It also became clear that the immigration service has withdrawn the residence permit from V.. He must therefore leave the country, but that is only possible after serving a possible prison sentence.
Treatment in the psychiatric clinic
In the meantime, he is in the center for transcultural psychiatry Veldzicht in Balkbrug. There, people with a non-Western background are treated for their complex psychiatric problems.
But the entire lawsuit was not mentioned about psychological problems, but only about a ‘bare’ prison sentence. V.’s lawyer argued that four years and a month is very strong for ‘a fire, a burglary and a simple abuse’. According to him, ten to fourteen months in prison would be more in proportion.
The court will rule on May 16 in this case.
