In the quarter -finals Tottenham Hotspur threw the Frankfurt Eintracht from the Europa League. Now the Londoners can dream of the final.

Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur won the first leg in the semi-finals of the Europa League. In front of their own audience, the team of coach Poseteclou prevailed 3-1 (2-0) against the surprise team FK Bodø/Glimt on Thursday evening. A week before the second leg among the Norwegians, the “Spurs” are already in the final with one leg.

A flash goal paved the way. Brennan Johnson scored for the favorite after just 40 seconds. James Maddison increased before the break (34th minute).

The guests hardly got any options at Tottenham Stadium. The home team made the lid onto the game after about an hour. Dominic Solanke scored 3-0 (61.) after Cristian Romero was fouled in the penalty area.

Meanwhile, Bodø gives hope to Ulrik Saltnes (83.). The 32-year-old shortened shortly before the end for the outsider and thus received the minimum chance of the miracle for the second leg alive. Bodø had previously worked into the semi -finals sensationally. Due to the victory in the quarter -finals against Lazio Rome, the team was the first Norwegian team among the top four clubs in a European competition.

Tottenham had eliminated the last German representative in the quarterfinals of the Eintracht Frankfurt competition. Now, despite a weak season in the Premier League (currently 16th place), the club dreams of the first big title since 1999. At that time, the English had been able to win the national league cup.
