Within 24 hours there was an explosion and a arson at the same house on Nijkampenweg in Emmen at the beginning of April. No one was injured, but the perpetrator is still missing.
In the night of Friday, April 4, a white van, probably a Renault Kangoo, opposite the affected home, can be seen on camera images from the neighborhood. At the window at the door of the house is probably an explosive stuck that has exploded. An orange flash can be seen on the images and shortly afterwards the van leaves again.
Less than a day later, on April 5 around half past one in the morning, it can be seen that a person is walking to the porch, with a jerry can in his hand. It is not easy to see what exactly happens at the front door, but shortly thereafter a fire is created.
The police describe the suspect as someone with a slim build. The suspected perpetrator wears a hood sweater, tight pants with dark belt and sneakers. It is not yet clear whether the person and the van have to do with each other.
After the incidents, the municipality hung up cameras, the police announced that they were driving around more often in the neighborhood.
