A top -level spectacle
This year the show ‘Horizons’ will tour through the Netherlands. As a spectator you will be taken to a spectacle full of cheerful costumes, acrobatic stunts and a special story. The cast consists of top -level skaters who come from all over the world. Former Dutch Champion figure skating Sophie Bijkerk is also participating.
For all ages
Michiel Morssinkhof, executive producer of the show says: “In Horizons Celebrate your life together, just like people in the city do. You pass all kinds of places in the city, where the people who know the city really well come. Think of a Burning Man-like festival, a relaxed city park, the best rooftop bars, the most beautiful theater and the top of skyscrapers. It takes you out of the here and now and takes you on an incredible experience. The show is really the coolest outing of the year, in a modern setting with music from today. All kinds of top 40 music comes by. This makes it very fun and recognizable for all ages. ”
Do you not speak Dutch or someone in your company? Even then this is the perfect outing. The show is in fact language independent, so everyone experiences a crazy experience.

Every new place in the city has its own decor and group of residents with exuberant costumes. The costume designer is Michael Sharp, known for his prize -winning costumes for the Eurovision Song Contest. He also unpacked for Holiday on Ice. Michiel: “The costumes are entertainment in itself. Michael Sharp has designed 300 different costumes for this show. In every corner of the city, the ‘inhabitants’ have costumes that are different, but all fit together. There are also some special effects!”

Every year a completely new show is set up, so you only have the chance to see ‘horizons’ for 6 weeks. According to Michiel you really don’t want to miss it. “Holiday on Ice is one of the few shows in the Netherlands that is still so big. We have made it a huge spectacle again, this is really big entertainment. Whether you are four or eight -year -old years old. I can guarantee that you are watching your eyes. It is really a great experience!”
