The visitors were fascinated by the story of Bert Vertommen. They could not only ask questions about the materials and techniques used, but were also allowed to test some restored games themselves. With a lot of love for old folk games and café games, Bert breathed new life into the old things. Thanks to demonstrations and interactive explanation, young and old discovered the special world behind these nostalgic games.
Bruges worked out on Heritage Day with about seventy activities in and around the city. Atelier Madeleine remains a place throughout the year where craftsmanship and heritage go hand in hand.
