For the team that represents the Catholic soul of Glasgow it is the 120th trophy: only the Al-Ahly (125) has won more. And it is also record for technician Brendan Rodgers, who becomes the most winning living manager in the history of the club

Brendan Rodgers like things in style. For days the Celtic coach said that the season with fireworks had to be closed. And if the fireworks were not there, well patience: the goals would have been enough. His boys made five of them at Dundee, a proof of force without frills. So Rodgers had what he wanted. To us, however, it is more interested in what is behind this goleada. Celtic is again Scotland champion: fourth consecutive title, thirteenth in the last fourteen years. And the bill comes to twenty -one if the last twenty -six seasons are examined. Numbers that tell a kind of dynasty, not only sports supremacy. You could go on back with the accounts, but it’s not worth it. Sport lines the numbers and creates dualisms. And therefore with this championship the Celtic in style has done so to really reach the fifty -five titles of the Rangers, the other Glasgow team. Celtic, however, will continue to chase the Treble, the triple, the hat -trick. Call it how you want. In December he beat the Rangers to penalties after an exciting challenge with six goals in the final of the Scottish League Cup, and last Sunday he defeated St. Johnstone for 5-0, winning the access to the final of the Scottish Cup next month against Aberdeen. Callum McGregor, the captain, used a little too aulic metaphors. But that make the sense of what it passes well in the players’ head: “Heaven is our limit. We want to do something special in this season”.
