There are activities on the leisure site Zomerloos in Gistel and on the renewed playground ‘t Pleintje in the Moere district. The annual Outdoor Play Day this year coincides with the Heritage Week, and that is a unique opportunity for Gistel to connect play and heritage, for example through old folk games.
Ships of Jeugd van Quaethem: “With the Outdoor Play Day we want to give children literally and figuratively space to play, discover and be together. By involving our boroughs in this initiative, we make this day a connecting moment for the whole of Gistel. That we could combine this with Heritage Day, indicates an extra valuable dimension.”
