The Tilburg police are completely finished with the nuisance in the Westerpark in Tilburg. There was already an access ban, but there will be extra strict on that from Wednesday. If you are in the park after 10 p.m. and before 6:00 am, you will receive a hefty ticket.

For the night hours, an access ban has been in the park for years. Signs around the park also indicate this. “Because of the many nuisance, we are going to maintain extra sharpness again,” the police write on social media. “Are you in the park anyway? Then you can just expect a fine of 119 euros.”

If someone is caught for the second time, they get a ban for two weeks.

Missing more often
The nuisance in the Westerpark has long been in the eye of both the police and the municipality. A ban on access has been in the area since 2014. That was introduced after a shooting.

Yet the nuisance persists. In recent years there have been regular robberies and abuse in the area.

There is also an access ban due to nuisance in the Wilhelminapark in Tilburg.
