Mey has successfully achieved one of his central sustainability goals: the significant reduction in CO₂ emissions. It was originally planned to reduce emissions at the locations in Germany, Portugal and Hungary by 15 % by 2025 compared to 2019. As early as 2023, this goal could be clearly exceeded with an impressive reduction of 35 %.
With photovoltaics and e-mobility to the climate target
The decisive measures that have led to this success include the installation of photovoltaic systems in Germany and Hungary, the conversion of the company fleet to electric vehicles and the continuous reduction in internal emissions, for example by eliminating compressed air leaks.
This result not only confirms the effectiveness of sustainable engagement at Mey, but also underlines the company’s continuous contribution to climate protection.
