Since he woke up (“in discreet conditions”) to fatal illness: what happened in those 95 minutes
“At 7:35 this morning the bishop of Rome, Francesco, returned to the father’s house. His whole life was dedicated to the service of the Lord and his Church”. With this official communication of the Holy See, the death of Pope Francis was known in the aftermath of the Easter celebrated despite the precarious health conditions also with the usual blessing Urbi et orbi and the crowd in St. Peter’s Square. The announcement of Cardinal Kevin Joseph Farrell, Vatican Camerlengo, arrived at 9:47 am, just over two hours after the disappearance of the pontiff and afterwards still began to leak further news on the reason for the death.
The causes of death
–
Everything happened in an hour and a half, indeed 95 minutes to be exact. At 6 in the morning of April 21, Bergoglio woke up in discreet conditions, as confirmed by Vatican sources, then at 7 he had an illness and death 35 later came. However, the death would not be directly connected to respiratory problems – specifically the bilateral pneumonia that had brought Francesco to the long hospitalization to the Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome in mid -February – but it would be a cerebral hemorrhage as part of a serious cardiovascular problem.
