Confetti instead of pyro: Ultras make fun of a fine

The ultras of the 1st FC Köln reacted to the fine of the German Bundesliga for the goats on Easter Sunday. The DFB had earned FC for a payment of around 300,000 euros after the active fan scene in the DFB Cup against Hertha BSC burned down fireworks in the south curve. In the home game against Prussia Münster, the Cologne supporters reacted with humor.

It is unlikely that the winter newcomer can be used again in the remaining course of the season. For the final training session on Saturday, Huseinbasic should be able to return to the pitch. An assignment is therefore decided at short notice. Meanwhile, Captain Timo Hüber is sure to be through the gastrointestinal infection, Joel Schmied after back problems, and Dejan Ljubicic after his ankle problems. Linton Maina, Jusuf Gazibegovic (both ankles), Luca Kilian (cruciate ligament rupture), Max Finkgräfe (muscle injury), Jacob Christensen (training deficit) and Neo Telle (sick) will be safe.

The 1. FC Köln continues to hope for an extension of the contract with Dejan Ljubicic and Linton Maina. Now, however, a former coach of the 1st FC Köln could be grown in between. In addition to the main sponsor Rewe and name sponsor RheinEnergie, DEVK is one of the three most important sponsors of the billy goats. The extension should go hand in hand with an increase in the amount of sponsorship, it said on Wednesday from the Geißbockheim.
