Does Ali B drive the Voice debut of Suzan & Freek in De Wielen? According to Tina Nijkamp, it is almost impossible to postpone The Voice of Holland if it coincides with the Ali B process.
It should finally happen in January 2026: the return of the infected program The Voice of Holland. All kinds of new coaches have been attracted, including Suzan & Freek, to give the show a new impetus. The only problem is that two leaders from the program are still involved in legal proceedings.
Voice postponed?
Ali B, who was a coach in the TV show for years, received two years in prison for some abuse cases and has appealed. And that probably serves at the end of this year or early next year, exactly when The Voice will start again. And then former voice band leader Jeroen Rietbergen may also be prosecuted.
What consequences does this have for The Voice? Probably that it will be postponed, according to TV authority Tina Nijkamp, who was at the helm of SBS 6 for years. She thinks RTL 4 is already taking precautions, for example by having enough programs on the shelf that The Voice can possibly replace.
Joling as a reserve?
RTL 4, for example, will order extra episodes of the Gerard Joling soap, thinks Tina. “I think RTL wants to order this very quickly, also because – it has nothing to do with it, but it is a side step – of course of course that was the director’s session of Ali B,” she says in her podcast Tina’s TV UPDATE.
She continues: “The substantive appeal serves at the end of this year or early next year and lets that be the start of The Voice, as RTL 4 has planned, but of course RTL 4 will never and never start at the same time when that lawsuit runs. They really don’t.”
Need the man
It would be far too uncomfortable for RTL 4, Tina thinks. A new start for The Voice? First wait until the criminal magazines are completed … “So they will order something from one or the other, so that if there is a need for the man, they can use it that way.”
She continues: “For example, such a only Joling could be very good for that. That is easy to use and you don’t have to make twelve episodes of it immediately.”
Easy to fill
From the Joling-Soap it doesn’t really matter exactly how many episodes you order. “It is not a whole series like the traitors or the perfect picture, but it is easy to fill in slots. That also applies, for example, to such an Ewout Genemans program, isn’t it, such a Bureau Maastricht. You can use it that way.”
