The Bayern professionals Frans Krätzig and Paul Wanner are loaned at 1. FC Heidenheim and are now meeting on their actual employer. It is currently not very round for both.
When the 1. FC Heidenheim meets FC Bayern on Saturday (from 3:30 p.m. in the radio full report and in the live ticker at Sportschau), then two players are particularly focus-Frans Krätzig and Paul Wanner.
The two Munich talents are loaned to the FCH until the end of the season. The 19-year-old midfielder Wanner made 26 Bundesliga games this season and scored three goals, the 22-year-old left wing player Krätzig only came in January 2025 and made 13 games in the league (one goal). That is why the Bayern managers will probably take a close look at what the duo on the square will do on Saturday. Both have a contract with Bayern until 2027.
Wanner has decreased after a good start
In the end, however, it has become rather quiet. Wanner started the season so well that a small struggle for the German and Austrian national team broke out around the then 18-year-old. In his first two Bundesliga games, he scored one goal and put on another. After that, however, there was only one more goal. And no more gate template – too little for a playmaker.
For a long time, coach Frank Schmidt had patience with his weakening ten, but since the beginning of February Wanner has only stood on one of ten match days in the starting eleven. This season of the undoubtedly talented talent was not an application for a place in the Bayern squad.
Heidenheim’s Frans Krätzig during the game against Union Berlin
Skip also started splendidly and scored in his first game for Heidenheim in the 2-0 against Union Berlin, but it also became calmer about him. It is therefore rather questionable whether one of the two loans can put a leg on the way to the championship.
Balance and good mix are required
Nevertheless, they are about a lot. In the direct duel, you can remember good performance. Schmidt has special advice for his players before the duel against FC Bayern. “You shouldn’t make yourself smaller than you are. You are good, young players”said the coach in an interview.
For the duo, the main thing is to find the right balance. “Of course they know many players, the DNA and the mentality of Bavaria. There is rather a risk that you will be too careful”said Schmidt. Therefore, against FC Bayern “Find a good mix of aggressiveness and show what you can do.”

Schmidt: “Everyone has to be hot”
Schmidt replied to the question of whether Wanner and Kränger may be particularly hot: “I always have a problem when it comes to two players are particularly hot. That would mean that the others are not hot. Everyone must be hot in this phase.”
Before the 30th matchday, Heidenheim is on relegation place 16, is only two points ahead of a relegation zone and is a clear outsider against Bayern.
