A 19-year-old man from the municipality of Noordenveld pressed the accelerator pedal too hard on the N386 near Donderen. Earlier this week, the motorist tapped a speed of 222 kilometers per hour, the police reported on Instagram.
A maximum permitted speed of 80 kilometers per hour applies on the road. The exceedance was so great that the speed devil, in addition to a fine, must also give up his driver’s license and lost its vehicle.
During the inspection, the police further issued fines for speed violations of 40 (twice) and 35 (three times) kilometers per hour.
