SEW defeated reigning national champion Venlo with 22-20 in Wognum. As a result, coach Michael Vijverberg’s team takes the lead again in the championship pool. If SEW also wins the next two games against Quintus and Volendam, it will play the best-of-three final for the national title.
For SEW it would be unique if it managed to reach the final. The last time that succeeded was in 2004.
VZV or VOC
VZV is number one in the other championship pool. VOC was defeated 17-22 in Amsterdam-Noord and that is why the club from ‘t Veld is the leader. VZV also plays two more games in the competition. There is a chance that the final will be about the national championship between SEW and VZV.
