In summer, SC Paderborn will hire a new trainer. For Lukas Kwasniok, it is over after four years.
The paths between SC Paderborn and head coach Lukas Kwasniok separate in summer. As the second division announced on Tuesday, both sides had “agreed in mutual agreement and with great respect for each other”. Anyone who takes over for the new season is still open. Kwasniok, who has been in office since summer 2021, is associated with several Bundesliga clubs.
The association “and all the people who belong to it have grown very dear to me in the past almost four years,” said Kwasniok himself: “The club gave me the opportunity to prove myself for the first time in the 2nd Bundesliga and supported me at any time.” The decision “gave clarity for the coming season at an early stage,” said the association.
In the current season, Paderborn continues to have the chance of promotion to the Bundesliga. Five game days before the end, the East Westphalia are in seventh place with 45 points, the gap to the relegation rank is two points. The focus is “now on the remaining five games in which we want to make our dream reality,” said Kwasniok.
