At the Cleveland Browns, those responsible (as supposedly last) came to the realization that Deshaun Watson’s obligation was a mistake. The controversial NFL professional in turn continues to prove the opposite to its critics.

A few days ago Browns-Owner Jimmy Haslam the recruitment Watsons as “failure”. While the majority of the NFL community should have greeted this openness, the affected quarterback now reacted defiantly to the statement of his boss.

“Everyone doubts me. Nobody believes in me,” Watson complained in an Instagram video that shows him during training. “Nobody believes that I will come back where I was. But I know and believe in the work I have invested in myself. I know I will be much better than before.”

Where the signal caller comes from this self -confidence is unclear. Since he was in 2022 for several first, one third and two four-round picks from the Houston Texans moved to Cleveland, Watson was only able to win nine NFL games (with ten defeats). Most of the time he was either blocked or injured. For example, the 29-year-old is currently recovering from an Achilles tendon tear for the second time, which for him probably means that for the 2025 season.

NFL-out for Watson more and more likely

In the spring of 2026, Watson would go to the Browns in the last year of his 230 million five -year contract. A further employment then appears as well as excluded. According to “ESPN” reporter Daniel Oyefusi, the remaining 31 NFL teams almost wrote down the QB.

“Managers and agents told ESPN their doubts that the former Pro-Bowl quarters will get another chance in the NFL, even if he is well,” wrote Oyefusi.
