In recent weeks, the police have arrested four men for riots at the Alkmaar café Het Spoortje around AZ-Ajax. Fans of the Amsterdam club attacked the café with AZ supporters during the game on December 8. In addition, they threw fireworks and other objects.
Shortly after the riots, three men were arrested: two from Heemstede (21 and 26 years old) and one from Den Bosch (24 years old). The group had already fled when the police arrived, but thanks to video images and witnesses, four others were recognized later.
Two of them have since been arrested: a 25-year-old man from Amsterdam and a 31-year-old man from Velp. The other two – a man of 24 from Mijdrecht and a man of 26 from Vlissingen – are invited to an interview and will have to be accountable later.
