The show car conceived by Now ïtoone of the most influential designers of his generation, reinvents the look of the Renault 17 Through a bold and modern interpretation of this historical model, at the same time, faithful to the spirit of the brand. The car is driven by an electrical unit mounted in the rear capable of delivering a power of 270 HP. Compared to the original model, the R17 It has been 17 cm to ensure a better road holding, the mudguards and protruding wheels stand out, which give it a more aggressive, but at the same time elegant and contemporary appearance. The rectangular lighthouses with beat corners and rear lights enclosed in a single transverse band, both led, are unpublished. Finally, the bodywork is in carbon fiber and contributes to a significant reduction in the weight of the car of 1.4 tons. Revisiting a mythical car was a complex operation and great challenge for Now ïto who commented: “I wanted to cover Renault 17 with a second skin to enhance it and bring it back to our day by interpreting it with my grammar: fluidity, dynamism, rationality and my own signature: the Simplexity. In fact, I wanted to simplify the complex elements “.
