The Kremlin instructed the regional authorities to work out the organization of public actions in support of the Russian army and the military operation in Ukraine, a source close to the presidential administration told RBC, and confirmed by two interlocutors familiar with the discussion of the tasks set by the federal center.
Events can be of any format: motor rallies, military-themed exhibitions, speeches by public opinion leaders in the media and social networks, videos with residents who speak out in support of President Vladimir Putin, military operations and the Russian army, flash mobs with the alignment of participants in the form of the letter Z, posts public figures, including officials with accounts in social networks, with Z on avatars, RBC interlocutors told.

According to one of the sources, the “technical assignments” for public events can either come from the federal center or be prepared at the discretion of the regional authorities themselves. The terms of the shares are not limited.
The attitude towards public support for the military operation is heterogeneous, another RBC source adds: there are those who take the initiative themselves; someone does not show initiative, but agrees to support; there are those who believe that refusal can create problems and agree to some form of public support, some refrain from expressing an opinion, says one of the interlocutors.
