What the 21-year-old winter newcomer had already indicated in his first short missions for BVB, he confirmed against Freiburg at his starting debut at the weekend: Carney Chukwuemeka has skills to do Borussia Dortmund better. In February, the Borussians still had him on the last trigger FC Chelsea Borrowed where he hadn’t played a role since summer.
Finally fit enough for the starting eleven – and directly bearing strong
Rental transactions such as this, from which BVB and the central midfielder themselves benefit from, are a common model that they use at Chelsea in recent years and decades to further develop young players. Chukwuemeka is the son of Nigerian parents. It was born in Eisenstadt, Austria, but grew up in Northampton in England. He is a stroke of luck for BVB. “Brutally strong” called him goalkeeper Gregor Kobel, Pascal Groß (“He can help us”) and Niko Kovac joined: “We gained a great footballer.”

Unless the BVB, due to the success of the weekend, suddenly only with five points behind in fourth place, still creates the Champions League qualification.
