Hamburger SV brought in a clear victory at the 1st FC Nürnberg and has come a little closer to the targeted Bundesliga promotion.
In the 3-0 win in front of 47,300 spectators in the sold-out Max Morlock Stadium, Jean-Luc Dompé (9th/37th) made twice for the guests from the north, Robert Glatzel (84.) made the final decision. Nuremberg’s Janis Antieste saw the red card early because of coarse foul game (16th).
With the victory, the Hamburger SV has taken over the lead in the 2nd Bundesliga, at least temporarily with 52 points. The team of coach Merlin Polzin has six points ahead of Kaiserslautern in Magdeburg, at least until the away game of Kaiserslautern on Sunday. The Nuremberg (41 points) coached by Miroslav Klose slipped ninth.
“Hamburg is also difficult to play with eleven men. And if you are one less, it can look like the Hamburger SV then has upper water. The game was decided after a quarter of an hour”said Klose at the sports show microphone. The Nuremberg trainer said at the table: “We never looked up.”
HSV coach Polzin said at the ARD microphone: “My team tried to bring our football on the pitch for over 90 minutes.” The early lead and the long overnight number of course played the team into their hands. He said to the promotion struggle: “I have the absolute conviction that we can win every game.”
HSV with early Leadership
The initial phase belonged to the HSV, the lead goal fell in the ninth minute. Then Emir Sahiti prevailed on the right wing to the baseline and played the ball back to Ransford Königsdörffer, who immediately pulled off. The leather was still blocked, but the rebound landed at Dompé, whose shot was still unhappily deflected in his own box.
Nuremberg for a long time outnumbered
Shortly afterwards the next setback for the “club”. After getting in hard against Daniel Elfadli, Janis Antieste was shown the red card in minute 16 by referee Timo Gerach. Gerach initially only warned Antieste, but in the view of the video images, but then revised his opinion.
The Hanseatic succeeds subsequently. Dompé had the chance to increase to 2-0 twice, but found his master in Nuremberg goalkeeper Jan Reichert.
In the 37th minute it was time. After Carafiat almost equalized on a counterattack, the HSV struck. This time Reichert had no chance against Dompé. Königsdörffer and Sahiti could even have set 3-0 before the half -time whistle.
HSV two sovereign even in halftime
After the break, the HSV did not make any institutions to let the Nuremberg come back into the game and continued to work. In the 57th minute, Adam Karabec had the 3-0 on his foot, two minutes later Sahiti only hit the post – and then substitute Robert Glatzel finished after a corner to head the ball from three meters past the goal. Nuremberg’s Reichert was also able to distinguish himself again, he parried against Ludovit Reis, which was rising freely.
However, the exploitation of opportunities, which is quite negligent in this phase, did not take revenge because Nuremberg had to counter little.
Glatzel meets the comeback
And then it fell, the deserved 3: 0. Glatzel made it better with his comeback after a long injury shortly before the end (84th) than with the first attempt and hit the final decision.
