In Ghana Microsoft tests a new form of medicine: 3D telemedicin. People from the city of Koforidua who are dealing with medical problems are allowed to sit in a black van that comes to them. Various 3D cameras take photos of their tumors, keloids or other disorders. Those images are immediately forwarded to doctors who can be on the other side of the world. “Doctors are joining forces to determine faster what interventions the patients need,” explains chief engineer Spencer Fowers.
