Four drummers in a room that is too small
What happens if you lock four drummers in a room that is too small? A whirlwind of musical styles, from percussion music to hilarious object theater is what the visitor gets to choose from during the latest Percossa performance. The four men take the listener on a rollercoaster ride of life packed in musical scenes, tranquil moments and funny acts. The show Let Me In – Let Me Out tells the story of four men who have been touring the world as brothers for years and gradually no longer see the difference between real life and showbiz.
The rawness of four drummers, the vulnerability of four romantics and the unity of four brothers who have come together with their own stage jokes. Stuck in this existence, they try to think of ways to break the routine. One does this by smashing in the door and the other by looking for a magical exit through one of the kitchen cupboards. But no matter what they try, they are always sucked in by the irrepressible urge to make music with everything that is available. Until the front door is suddenly ajar and nothing seems to stand in the way of the men to seize their freedom. But are they ready for the unknown?

Rock hard music and slamming doors
Doors slammed, music excruciatingly loud, continuous mess in the bathroom, complete chaos in the bedroom; life with teenagers is never boring. As a parent, you go through the emotional rollercoaster of adolescent parenthood every day. Your presence as a parent is only appreciated if you stock the fridge on time, want to be a continuous ATM and play taxi driver on demand.
In the performance This is not a hotel comedians Ellen Dikker, Dianne Liesker and Hanneke Drenth show how you can survive adolescents with a little common sense and without too much damage. With a lot of love and patience, and forward, also with a lot of wine. A performance for anyone who has a teenager at home or who has ever been a teenager.

A rare moment of happiness
Are we happy? Yes. We are happy. Pretty happy. However? Who knows exactly when happiness has arrived? In Long live the family a family experiences such a rare moment of happiness. In honor of Mother’s birthday, they dine together at the family’s favorite restaurant, not knowing that after tonight everything will change. Long live the family is a translation of Time of my Life by Alan Ayckbourn.
The piece shows that we are not used to dwelling on the moments when we are happy. We can indicate when we were or will be happy, but we usually don’t realize it at the time. The performance is performed by Theater van de Grond and includes a three-course dinner.

Surviving Hell with a Trumpet
Lex van Weren was born in 1920 and grew up in Amsterdam. He teaches himself to play the trumpet. When the entire Van Weren family is arrested during the Second World War and put on transport to the Auschwitz death camp, it is precisely the trumpet that saves his life.
As the only member of the family, as a member of the camp orchestra, he managed to survive the terrible time in the camp as a prisoner in 16848. In 1980, after years of silence, writer Dick Walda persuaded him to tell his story. That shocking and emotional story is at the heart of the production Trumpeter in Auschwitz † Actors Thomas Cammaert and Soy Kroon tell and play, directed by Eddy Habbema the special and moving story of Lex van Weren.
