In Menen they have known the big loop for some time: every spring there is a large litter campaign in Menen, Wervik and Wevelgem. Apparently they have been doing the same for a few years in Halluin.
The idea grew to make the students work together. “We immediately promised, because that fits perfectly with what we are already doing in our city. So it is our first collaboration in the field of cleanliness and waste,” says Blaise Metangmo, ships of Halluin.
Today’s harvest litter is not positive news. “We will have to raise awareness and also act stricter,” says Caroline Bonte-Vanraes, ships of Menen.
