Regensburg lost 3: 8 in the first half of the 2nd Bundesliga at the 1st FC Nürnberg. Now the Jahn returned and gave the club a thick damper.
A surprisingly weak 1. FC Nürnberg has suffered a strong damper in the promotion race of the 2nd Bundesliga. The Middle Franconia lost 1-2 (1-0) on Sunday afternoon at Duel at SSV Jahn Regensburg and thus lost again on connection to the ride. Another traditional club, the 1. FC Kaiserslautern at a relegation rank three, is now five points away from the team of coach Miroslav Klose.
Opponent Jahn Regensburg, on the other hand, creates hope in the fight for staying class. Finally, the Regensburgers are now moving up to five points on relegation rank 16, which Eintracht Braunschweig occupied. At the Jahn, 24 -year -old Noah Ganaus became a template and a goal for the match winner and pioneer of the successful revenge for the The first leg that the Franks had won 8: 3 for themselves. The Regensburgs have not lost at home for four games – and under their coach Andreas Patz they have never conceded in any home game than one goal.
Club player completely free – and in the lead
The afternoon started with bad news for club fans. The top goal scorer Stefanos Tzimas failed for the game at the bottom of the table with muscular problems. To do this, the focus was on the more the more, and Jens Castrop’s Jens Castrop, which came in for Tzimas. Regensburg also had to replace a top force: the central defender Louis Breunig, which was detached from Nuremberg last summer.
At first, only the lack of the Jahn player became noticeable when the Nuremberg central defender Robin Knoche came to the header after a corner, SSV goalkeeper Julian Pollersbeck clarified the campaign (10th minute). Only shortly afterwards the club had far too much space again – Castrop escaped its opponent, dribbled into the penalty area and used Annex. With the first contact, he met the goal (11th).
Midfielder Flick becomes an accident as a defense chief
But the next bad news followed: FCN defense chief Robin Knoche had to be replaced with a calf injury. Florian Flick, usually used in midfield instead of defense, replaced him, which should still prove to be crucial. In the first half, only Rafael Lubach still had a good chance of final, but Pollersbeck was able to parry his shot from 16 meters (45.+2).
After the break, however, the game turned completely. Now the Jahn took over the game control. And came to deserved goals: attacker Noah Ganaus flanked flat and sharply inside, Flick wanted to clarify the ball at the five -meter room, but stumbled into his own goal. It was that of the patch that a little later did not have an eye on his opponent Ganaus and did not intervene in the header duel. Because the latter sprinted against Eric Hottmann’s flank towards the club five-and headed the ball with relaxed and worth seeing into the FCN goal (55.). Immediately afterwards, Fabio Gruber Flick replaced, who had probably injured himself slightly at Ganaus’s goal.
Nuremberg desperately on the Regensburg defense
So the FCN still had half an hour to maltreat the bottom of the table with angry attacks. The Nurembergers always have the quality for this, but they did not show them that afternoon.
On the contrary: the Regensburgers were no longer impressed by the surprisingly weak francs at all, put the neighbor from the north a good damper in the promotion race of the 2nd Bundesliga and now take hope for possible reunion with the club next season.
