9 x cool festivals where you can go near Zoetermeer in the month of May

The festival season has started and we will know it too! Of course there are a lot of great events to experience in Zoetermeer this spring and in the summer. But there is also a lot on the program in surrounding cities and we don’t want to keep that from you.

You can often reach the festival site from Zoetermeer by tram, train, bicycle or car within half an hour to an hour. Take a quick look at the events in the month of May at our neighbors.

Dordrecht

  • Spoon Spoon
    Thursday 18 to Saturday 20 May 2023
    During this annual festival you can enjoy local cuisines, food trucks, lots of beer, wine, soft drinks, and of course live music.
  • Eallum
    Do you like fantasy, gothic, the Middle Ages, Vikings, pirates, steampunk, cosplay, anime and/or wicca? Then keep 27 and 28 May free in your agenda.

Delft

  • Just Jazz Festival
    Jazz festival on Friday 12 May, organized by students, with three stages and ten artists from the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
  • Wine festival
    Wine lovers, this one is for you! On Sunday 14 May, restaurant De Centrale in Delft is organizing a wine festival. The day is all about lots of wine, tasty snacks and live music.
  • Delft Fringe Festival
    An event with performances throughout Delft from 31 May to 11 June: from music to cabaret.

The Hague

  • Hague World Snacks
    From May 26 to May 29, Haagse Wereld Hapjes is ready to treat you to a few festive and gastronomic days.
  • Sniester
    On Friday 26 and Saturday 27 May there will be more than 70 performances on and around the Grote Markt and in the Paard. Furthermore, there are free pop-up shows in the city.

Rotterdam

  • TREK food festival
    Do you feel like having a snack and drink outside? This is possible from Thursday 11 to Sunday 14 May during Festival TREK in Rotterdam in the Vroesenpark.
  • Toffler festival
    Toffler festival is the techno festival of Rotterdam, in the Roel Langerakpark.
